RAMP Chevy and Brookhaven National Labs Team up for Technology
The Department of Energy’s National Science Bowl for Middle School Students Long Island Regional Competition was hosted recently at Brookhaven National Labs and RAMP Chevy was on hand to help usher today’s youth into the technology of tomorrow.
More than 200 parents and students in grades 6, 7 and 8 representing 16 schools from across the Island were on hand for the combined model hydrogen fuel cell car competition and math and science Jeopardy-styled academic competition. A representative from Chevy was on hand to talk to visitors about hydrogen fuel cell technology and answer questions about the hydrogen fuel cell car that was hand for them to see. Representatives from RAMP who were in attendance at the event educated parents and students about the Malibu and Tahoe Hybrid vehicles and the future of Hybrid technology and also provided a $250 prize to be given to one of the winning teams.
